Bernie’s tasty avocado hummus

Today we decided to try a combination of hummus recipes, this is the outcome:

- 1 medium avocado, peeled, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup canned chick peas or garbanzo beans
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp. lemon juice
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 125ml water
- 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- chopped coriander leaves and slivered lemon zest to decorate
- 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 3 tbsp tahini
- 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Blend all the ingredients together in a food processor until smooth, or mash with all your might by hand.
2. Put into a container, including the pit (helps keep it fresh).
3. Chill and serve.
