For the first time, in their existence as a breed, the toros from “Los Victorinos” from Caceres will fight this year’s 2005 in the Feria De Sanfermin in Pamplona…in July. This should be a new experience for the corredores running with the bulls.

Victorino MartĂn

The bulls are bred by the Victorino MartĂn ranch of Caceres, known as one of the best ganaderĂas in Spain for a long time.

The ranch has been in existence since 1919, and has never made an appearance in Pamplona, apparently, because of financial disagreements between La Casa de Misericordia (the organisers of la corrida).

The Victorino MartĂn website only mentions the presence of the ranch at Pamplona in passing here

Fuente Y Ymbro

Also confirmed as being in attendance are los toros from the Seville breeder Fuente Ymbro

This breed has only been in existence since 1996. The line comes from the Jandilla bulls and cows. The bulls have proven to be “very responsive” in the bullring.

The other ganaderias that have been contracted to 2005 Feria De Sanfermin are:

D. JUAN PEDRO DOMECQ, from El Castillo de las Guardas (Seville) (also famous for their jamon!
MIURA, from Lora del Rio (Seville)
D. VICTORINO MARTN ANDRÉS, from Moraleja (Cáceres)
HROS. de D. José CEBADA GAGO, from Medina Sidonia (Cádiz)
JANDILLA, from Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz)
D. SANTIAGO DOMECQ BOHÓRQUEZ, from Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz)
DÑA. DOLORES AGUIRRE YBARRA, from Constantina (Sevilla)
FUENTE YMBRO, from San José del Valle (Cádiz)
