I have to go home now. If I stay here any longer I will have to go to Palm offices and shoot someone there.

I find an article on PalmOne’s launch of the Treo 650 in UK on Digital-Lifestyles.info a few minutes ago.

One thing noticeable by its absence was WiFi. Although palmOne offers an optional WiFi SDIO card for some of its Tungsten PDAs, it currently doesn’t work with the Treo 650.

Currently doesn’t work? It does work (proof of concept), but not correctly. Thats because the bastards didn’t write drivers and software to allow it to work.

He also said that a Treo with a fully integrated WiFi “was on the roadmap”, although he wasn’t mindful of giving me a peek at this map.
[he being François Bornibus, vice president for palmOne EMEA]

Roadmap? What? How f8^king big is your roadmap!

WTF? So they are going to bring out a Treo with WiFi, but of course, they won’t support current Treos.
Please stop kissing the U.S. mobile operators asses. Get a collective spine.

Palm, you truely suck. (But your hardware rocks….but not as much as it did)

Give the Euro hackers a bit of time, I think Switzerland was its first (and only) official Euro release so far. I think it will start to hot up a bit when its a bit easier to pick one up.
