Dick Doyle from IRMA seemed to get his topics mixed up this afternoon when speaking with LunchTime on Newstalk106 and T.J. MacInTyre of Digital Rights Ireland.

He seemed to be talking about Data Retention, when the argument was about the filesharing cases, and how they found out the identities of the owners of the machines.

He seemed to think that having a non EU company, MediaSentry, looking at private information held on the harddisks of Irish people who were caught up with IMRA’s anti-filesharing civil cases, was not a problem.

Good to see IRMA sounding like their big daddy in the states.

Digital Rights Ireland website has a fantastic and in-depth article about IRMA’s “legal proceedings”.

Ignorance does indeed seem to be bliss in some eyes.

    Hi there,

You are more than entitled to your view. I do not agree with the stance that RIAA were talking on this subject.
