I am once again reading Bruce Schneier’s book “Secrets And Lies”, mainly due to the whole data retention/data privacy debate that has been gopping on in Ireland, mainly involving Michael McDowell and now on the scene, Digital Rights Ireland.
Minister McDowell, the current Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, is bringing about a new data retention powers in Ireland.
“It is poor civic hygeine to install technologies that could someday facilitate a police state.”
