D'oh! Lol.... ok thanks Bernard. It looks very much like the right TV for me except for that grey speaker - maybe Kelly & Dollard would throw in a tin of black boot polish with it ;->

hea James,

"can you remove the angular grey border"
If you mean the thing that looks like a speaker (the perforated grey grill) no you can't.

thats the built-in speaker.

"stand at the bottom of the Samsung"
Yes you can :) the stand comes in the box, but by default is not setup. There is also a wall-hanging bracket that looks pretty sturdy.
But you will need either 1) some other type of stand, or 2) to use the wall mounting.

To hang them on the wall sure, its easy, but you would need a strong wall. I have not looked into it, as our wall is a partition.

I guess to have *true* 1080 then maybe...erm thats a good question, I know I checked it out before buying it...I don't remember now James!

I'll have to check!

thanks for the comment,

Bernard, can you remove the angular grey border and stand at the bottom of the Samsung. I've been thinking of getting a 26" HD Ready LCD for a few months now but only want one with a black border to tone in with our cast iron furniture. Is it easy to hang one of these on that wall?

Also, this screen is 768 vertical lines right? But the highest resolution is 1080 vertical lines? So would I be better off getting one of those? Sorry, I'm a bit thick when it comes to TV technology ;)
