I receievd this e-mail this evening, purporting to be from ebay regarding an “auction” I had apparently taken part in.

The fullsized image is here.

Text of the phish was:

“The seller, lkaroll tells us you have mutually agreed not to complete the transaction (e.g. because you returned or are returning the item for a refund or because there was a misunderstanding) and has requested a credit for their eBay fees.

Please respond by 15-Mar-2006 so eBay knows whether you have agreed.”

The actual auction Item number: 5856334211 is in fact real, and only 6 days old, so they must be targetting valid auctions, or are some way connected to the seller (possibly).

The phish site is hosted in Bangkok, while the seller is in Ohio, US. They of course may not be connected.
