Fon stuff: Antoin says hola to Fon HQ & IrishBlog Awards new foneros gimme a call!

Ireland now has 7 fonspots operational. As more and more people hear of Fon, more will come live.
All of the people who won a Fon router at the Irish Blog Awards on Saturday, if you guys have any problems, please let me know..I am more than willing to give you any help you need. Also, I would advise:
1. going to register yourself as a fonero as soon as.
2. heading on over to the Fon boards and helping out or just say hello.
I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed foning people at the Awards, like James pointed out. I think Antoin and I managed to tag 90% of the attendents…I peeled off to my leaba as the general crowd went on to drunker parts.
The Irish Blog Awards get some big media coverage: Jon Ihle writes in today’s Irish Times Online (via Gavin and Bernie.
Also: make sure you have a look at Joe Drumgoole’s excellent summary video of the night.
So, big thanks and respect due to Damien for getting it off the ground. And I hear its the RDS next year?!

I don’t see my FON point on that map Bernard

Thats right.
At the moment I have to add the point manually to a map I have created in MapBuilder.net
I am waiting for the new FON mapping system to be built. From my little knowledge it is being built on a pretty cool mapping/location-aware system. From seeing it it looks pretty cool.
I have a bunch of people I have to add, either, you can create a mapbuilder account for yourself (www.mapbuilder.net), and I can add you as an editor, or else give me *as much* information as you want (maybe neighbourhood/skype contact/website, etc) and I can add it for you.
