Hi Niels,

No I haven't tried the full version of Opera Mobile. But I think the problem is that when you visit a page the page is rendered through Operas network somehow.

If you dont have network connection, then its a no go!

Well, I would go for the E61 (or E61i now) or the N95..you have a pretty good choice.

There is a new Fon client for Symbian phones now. Have a look at that also:
http://blog.fon.com/en/archive/gadgets/symbian-client-for-nokia-.html

thanks

OK, I found this somewhere:

"I think it might interest you and other eddicteds that FON (you know, this huge WiFi Community out there) has launched a beta testing for their Symbian smart client that will connect you to all FONspots which are already over 75.000 worldwide! If you are interested, send an email to client-betatesting (at) fon.com."

Interesting! Seems like we'll be able to be FONeros afterall!

Gerry, thanks for posting! One problem though... where can I find the "WLAN Power Save" feature?

I found this on Fon board:

... it seems that this problem is somehow caused by the "WLAN Power Save" feature of the phone. After turning this off the problems are gone. As this probably drains the batteries I hope Fon and / or Nokia are able to optimize the connection between their devices.

Best,
