Hi Aron,

Thanks for the comment.

Ok...

Did you try the the v3.x firmware for your E61 ?

No not yet. Currently my E61 is a I think 2.8.9. Its the current firmware release for the E61 for Western Europe. I haven't bothered upgrading to the newer 3.x firmware yet. I might try and see if I can get a beta version or something.

That is supposed to be a good experience because it is supposed to be much faster then the v2.x firmware?

Thats what I hear also, but again its just from comments I hear. So I can't say for sure.

What was the bottleneck for you with the E61, why you needed the N800? Browsing through WLAN?

The main reason I wanted to try out the N800 was to have a WLAN device for the house that could control things. I have my phone which works perfectly, but when I am not here, neither is my phone :)

I just wanted a device I could use for Internet browsing, as a music remote control, and also (when I get the required devices) a control to control lights, heating, via a webpage.

Thats really it.

What are you looking for from the N800? You might be interested in this website: http://www.internettablettalk.com/ it is a fantastic resource. I have spent the day reading almost every thread on it (of course from my N800!!)

Kiitos!

Very interesting! I am also considering this because for my E70 Nokia is delaying the v3.x firmware. It was interesting to read that you have an E61 and on top of that you have bought the N800. Did you try the the v3.x firmware for your E61 ? That is supposed to be a good experience because it is supposed to be much faster then the v2.x firmware? What was the bottleneck for you with the E61, why you needed the N800?
