Digital Rights: IRMA sponsored by MP3 Download Google Ads!!!
1 Comment Published by bbt January 20th, 2006 in bernard, data protection, data retention, digitalrights, digitalrightsireland, google, irishblogs, music, runningwithbulls.comI get a link yesterday from someone (who shall remain nameless, unless they want to be named), to a thread on Boards.ie discussing IRMA’s alleged letter sending campaign to filesharers.
A open-eyed reader had a quick look at IRMA’s website and found….to shock and horror:

Now that is disgraceful! IRMA using filesharing and music download (from the look of the links, possibly illegal music downloads at that!).
I wonder if anyone from IRMA would be available for comment on how they appear to be cashing in on Google Adwords to make money? Or are they using it for more sinister means?

MacInTyre of Digital Rights Ireland.
He seemed to be talking about Data Retention, when the argument was about the filesharing cases, and how they found out the identities of the owners of the machines.
He seemed […]

They are now offering a large portion of the BBC World Service radio programming as podcasts through the iTunes Music Store (and obviously through their website also).
I really do wish that the BBC radio service was ours (Irish)..it would be one fantastic service we would have given to […]
Warbling sound coming from your iPod?
0 Comments Published by bbt August 23rd, 2005 in bernard, irishblogs, mac os x, music, personalI recently started using my Second Gen (scroll wheel) iPod for disk space usage (not normally, only emergency usage).
After a small time any music I played from the iPod had a warbling sound.
After resyncing the whole playlist to the iPod, the sound was still there.
I tried pretty much everything *except* resetting it. Of course, that […]
