The BBC iPlayer service is a great idea. Aunty gets with the new kids and onto d’Internet. They even got Mister BlackBeltJones too (yes, him, the dood that “found” warchalking - if bbj reads this, I spent 3 months of one summer chalking Dublin..*so* much fun was had).
Well, the Beeb lied:
It is supposed to work with Windows XP, Media Player and Internet Explorer…but guess what! It doesn’t!
Well, I guess thats what happens when you build a great idea service on a)windows, and b) make DRM built-in (& non-operable).
Let’s hope they get it fixed. I’d like to see Michael Palin’s “New Europe” programme about the new Eastern Europe Baltic States.
