The bull was part of the recortador performace in feria in Tafalla, on August 19th last. It injured 40 people after jumping out of the bullring and marauded through the crowd.

TV footage shows aficionados trying to restrain the bull – one fan grabs its tail – as it careers through the stands.

Most of the injured were treated for cuts and bruises, officials in Tafalla said.

Description: Looking into the “jamón” bar (the name escapes me right now) on Calle Estafeta. Normally, outside fiesta this bar smells strongly of jamón.

This year, as a result of the 35-40° C temperatures, and the influx of people, and the sweat this bar was an absolute PONG-FEST! (But jamón smells sooooo good.)

Description: This camera is a Kodak Six-20 ‘Brownie’ E. It belonged to my Grandmother (and possiby my Grandfather). I had seen them in my parents room for years, and had always wanted to play with them, but my mother wouldn’t allow me ("You’ll break them." "They are too valuable." They’re broken.").

Until earlier this year, when my mum handed them over without question, I got a little excited.

It took me months to find a supplier of Kodak 62 film that would ship to me. I finally found a woman on ebay who would.
I shined it up, cleaned the meniscus lenses, filter, and mirrors. I must finally oil the shutter movement.

The first roll of 620 film (which had a develop by date of November 1957) went in last night. 3 exposures done, and (I think) another 5 to go. I checked with John Gunn’s Camera Shop in Dublin and they still develop it. So it’ll be fun to see what comes out of it.

This will be my first film camera since….I was about 10. Let’s see what sorta mess I make of it.

Description: Every morning for 3-4 hours before the encierro starts, the street cleaning staff will sweep, and hose the streets clean. The water does not discriminate between sober and drunk. Photographers get a shower too.

Some French girls chatting up some guy..or a guy chatting up some French girls.

This photograph was taken on Fournier Street, off Brick Lane in Shoreditch, London.

I loved the colouring of the bricks. It reminded me of Jack the Ripper, whose victims used to frequent the Ten Bells Public House, at the end of Fournier Street.

I wonder whose fingers have rang that bell over the years?
