Here is was running directly for the vallados on the corner of Estafeta (hamburger corner, deadman’s corner, la curva, etc) which is not the best thing to do. At the last moment he did the smart thing and turned, thus saving his ass, and his medical insurance cover. The guy on the right background trying to touch the bull is doing the wrong thing – his body is turned directly towards the bull, reaching out to touch the bull. One swift flick of his head, and the guy is gored.

Description: Every day the “faces of TVE” (Television de España) throw shapes and generally get seen by the public. Here one of the TV presenters (I don’t watch enough Spanish TV to know her name) sits all thoughtfully.

Description: I have never seen someone being more detailed, and expressive about bullrunning than Jose. For someone who cannot talk, he describes an encierro better than anyone.

Description: This is Javi, “un Sanferminero de verdad”, and a great friend.

Every fiesta, people will go out with their “cuadrilla” (group of friends), on different days different cuadrillas – friends from school, college, work, family, etc.

Javi is a hardcore Sanferminero.

Description: Looking into the “jamón” bar (the name escapes me right now) on Calle Estafeta. Normally, outside fiesta this bar smells strongly of jamón.

This year, as a result of the 35-40° C temperatures, and the influx of people, and the sweat this bar was an absolute PONG-FEST! (But jamón smells sooooo good.)
