Description: Padilla made a near fatal mistake during a pass. The toro caught him with the tip of his left horn, and lifted him into the air. Amazingly, Padilla was not seriously injured. The Saint, either Fermín or Xabi Alonso, was looking over him that night.

It is really horrifying to see something as unusual as this happening. But the amazing thing is when you see then getting up, and coming back.

Unfortunately the Peñas were not there to see their beloved torero. “Padilla, Padilla, es un maravilla!”

This is not a beautiful photo. It’s not supposed to be. It is disturbing but, that is one of the feelings I get during a corrida. I go there becuase I want to go. However, I don’t think its a bad thing to have mixed feelings about it.

If you believe commentators, the art of bullfighting has symbolic meanings, and points to the bad side of human-beings.

Yes, that is blood, and no, it is not belonged to the man. It is blood from the horse, after it had been gored. Of all the corrida, I have to say, I feel most sorry for these horses. I don’t think they know what’s coming. They stand, take it quietly, and then, die.
