I wasn’t able to be in EU-004 land, and I wasn’t able to operate at EI7M in EU-115 land for IOTA 2026, so I had to make do with my KX3 with 15W, a loaded vertical antenna in the park opposite our house in EU-005 land.
I did however get to use my new-ish G7UFO PTT-switch, and started a brand new paper logbook (my second!) half-way through.
The PTT switch works really well. It’s small enough to hold in your hand, and using a headset, meaning I can log a contact at the same time.
I managed to log 70-odd contacts from a 6-ish hour activation on Sunday morning. It was hard work. I almost logged a contact with a PY-station and a TA6-station.
